Peach Studio is a 1700 square ft commercial photo studio located in Long Island City in NYC. It’s 10 minutes walking from the train stops: 7 (Queensboro Plaza), N (39th ave), F (21 St-Queensbridge).

We hope to bring talented and passionate creators to make images in a safe and welcoming place. Peach was founded by NYC-based fashion photographer Justin Bridges and expanded by multi-disciplinary artist Chimera Singer.

Justin Bridges

Justin Bridges (he/him) is a fashion and portrait photographer. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, he now resides in Harlem, New York City.

Justin Bridges started his career on Wall Street. As a POC, there weren’t too many faces like him. As he moved through fashion to finally build a career in fashion and lifestyle photography, he noticed that while things progressed, it still wasn’t enough. Peach Studio is an opportunity for him, to promote belonging, and representational and creative diversity at every stage of creation process. Justin understands the value of making money and establishing a legacy to change the future for of equity, while also using his platform to provide an opportunity for those who are consistently locked out by pricing and exclusionary tactics.

He has worked on commissions for fashion publications (GQ, Details), brands (Giorgio Armani, Public School NY), and stores (Barneys, Bloomingdales, Totokaelo).

Peach Studio is his opportunity to both succeed as a minority-owned business situated in a mainstream industry, and a platform to build community for those consistently disadvantaged.

Chimera Rene Singer

Chimera Singer (they/them) is a gender researcher, photographer, multidsiplinary artist, and creative director who currently lives in New York. Their commercial and editorial portrait work can be seen in places like The New York Times, Complex Magazine, and Teeth Magazine.

They studied photo media with an Othering emphasis at the University of Washington and recently received a graduate degree in Gender and Sexuality at the New School, and are currently completing their MA in Gender/Media. They seek to actively integrate somatic and artistic practices into their academic queer research.

Their writing, research, and multidisciplinary projects are avidly curious, work to break Euro-centric institutional convention, and fall at the intersection of queer, phenomenological, feminist and media theories. Chimera looks to bodies and their mediated expressions and tangible embodiments as avenues to generate Belongings.

Peach Studio is an opportunity for them to carry their intellectual practice into a living space where they can themselves and help others to tangibilize creative work against oppression.
